Biography

   Javid Samadov was born on May 14, 1987 in Baku, Azerbaijan. He studied at Uzeir Hadjibekov Azerbaijan State Music Academy in Baku. While being a student, he was invited by Galina Vishnevskaya to master his skills in the Opera Center in Moscow, Russia.
Later on with the full support if the State of Azerbaijan Javid pursued his studies at the Academy of Operatic and Vocal Arts in Osimo, Italia and at the International “Renata Tebaldi – Mario Del Monaco” Singing Academy in Pesaro, Italy.
   Javid participated in master-classes with William Mateuzzi, Harriet Lawson, Lella Cuberli, Raina Kabaivanska, Antonio Juvarra, Alla Simoni,  Mario Melani, Segio Segalini, Thomas Hampson, Pietro Spagnioli, Cinzia Forte, Verena Keller, Vinceno De Vivo and Cristina Muti.
    After winning at the IV Bulbul International Singing Competition in 2007,  Javid started his career  in the Baku Opera and Ballet Theatre where he appeared in the leading role of Escamilio in opera “Carmen” by G.Bizet. 
    In 2009 he performed a recital with Niyazi TV and radio State Orchestra in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Javid debuted in Europe as Belcore in “L`elisir d`amore” by G.Donizetti in Teatro Romano, Gubbio, Italy. 
He also appeared as Malatesta in "Don Pasquale" by G.Donizetti in Teatro "La Nuova Fenice" in Osimo, Italy.
    In 2010 together with the London Royal philharmonic orchestra. Javid performed in the II International Music Festival in Gabala, Azerbaijan. Later he took part in the Festival of Azerbaijan Culture with the Greece national orchestra in Athens, Greece.  He also performed in the "Internazionale Opernwerkstatt" in Switzerland and in the "Canto Festival" in Amandola, Italy.
 

  Javid  won several prestigious International vocal competitions:
- IV Bulbul International Singing Competition - the youngest 1st prize laureate in the competition's history (Baku, Azerbaijan), 2007.
- Х Rose Ponselle International Music Competition -1st prize winner (Matera, Italy), 2009.
- I Muslim Magomaev International Singing Competition - 1st prize winner (Moscow, Russia), 2010.
- Concorso citta di Bologna - "The Youngest Finalist in the Competition's History" award winner (Bologna, Italy).
    For the great contribution to the development and propaganda of Azerbaijan culture and music Javid was honored with "Zirvya" ("The Peak") award in "The Best Debut of the Year" nomination (Baku, Azerbaijan).
IIn May 2012 he appeared in the role of Papageno in opera "The Magic Flute" by W.A.Mozart in Teatro "La Nuova Fenice" in Osimo, Italy.
In June 2012 he appeared in the role of Leporello in opera "Don Giovanni" by W.A.Mozart in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

In 2012 - 2014 as a soloist in the International Opera Studio of Nuremberg State Opera Theatre (Staatstheater Nürnberg) 
Javid Samadov appeared in the following  roles:
 -  Masetto in "Don Giovanni" by W.A.Mozart.
 -  Roucher in "Andrea Chenier" by U.Giordano. 
 -  Hunter in "Rusalka" by A.Dvořák.

 -  Donner in  "Das Rheingold" by R.Wagner.
 -  Conte Almaviva in "Le Nozze di Figaro" by W.A.Mozart.

 -  Morales in "Carmen" by G.Bizet.

 -  Baron Douphol in "Traviata" by G.Verdi.
 -  Graf Dominik in "Arabella" by  R.Strauss.
 -  Ein Nachtwächter in "Les Huguenots" by G.Meyerbeer.

 

  The International magazine Opernwelt (Opera World) nominated Javid Samadov as the best young baritone in 2012-2013.

     In November 2011, Javid Samadov performed in Internazionale Opernwerkstatt in Switzerland: in SigriswilThun, Bern and Zurich.

    In November 2014 he appeared in "Salome" by R. Strauss in Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Italy. 
In 2014-2015 Javid appeared as Donner in "Das Rheingold" by R.Wagner in Anhaltisches Theater Dessau, Germany.

In November 2015 together with the Nuremberg State Opera Theatre troupe Javid Samadov appeared as Melot in "Tristan und Isolde" by R.Wagner.

     In January 2016 he performed in SWR Young Opera Stars Galaconcert, «Emmerich Smola Forderpreis», with Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor - Marco Comin.

    In 2015-2016 Javid appeared in the Esterházy Palace, Eisenstadt, Austria, in the production of "The Snow Queen" by S.Banevich - under the patronage of Anna Netrebko.

  Lately Javid has started practicing as a vocal coach in Nuremberg.
   He also performs in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Israel and Greece.

     Married, has a son.
